Lavi Peanut Butter started as an bold vision to use Haiti’s tradition of hand-made spicy peanut butter as a means of revitalizing local Haitian communities through job creation and support for local schools. Made possible by a unique global partnership including Abbott and Accesso, Kaleidoscope was brought in as a creative partner to help bring the vision to life through a disruptive peanut butter brand to be sold in the US.
We began with a deep immersion and naming exploration rooted in Haitian cultural traditions and opportunities within the evolving peanut butter category. Meaning “Life” in Haitian creole, “Lavi” emerged as the evocative yet simple foundation for the brand. Including brand identity, packaging design and activation touchpoints, our design exploration brought Lavi to new life. Honing in on themes of energy, artistry and the vibrant flavors at the heart of the Haitian people, the Lavi brand is now set to spread impact that’s anything but ordinary.
