Looking to attract new consumers in the meat stick category, Conagra Brands sought to provide a more premium experience for consumers with more discerning pallets. Kaleidoscope was tasked with designing a new Slim Jim package design to reflect the new product form and newly targeted consumer, while not alienating its current loyal fan base. Once concepts were refined and improved, our realization team took the lead to develop a special varnish effect to mimic the texture of leather, even further improving on the product’s sense of premiumness, authenticity and distinctiveness. Launched in stores nationwide in the Fall of 2017, the brand has seen continued success and looks to keep turning heads.
